Circa 1910s, this wonderful five-stone design engagement ring is set with velvety cornflower blue Sapphires and good quality colourless Diamonds. The ring head is made with Platinum and the shank is made with 18ct Yellow Gold.
Both the Sapphire and Diamonds are old-mine cut. These hand-cut gemstones rings are highly sought after, the stones tend to have a higher crown and larger culet. The Sapphires are approximately 2.7mm in diameter (estimated totalled 0.20ct). They are highly desirable deep and velvety cornflower blue shade, a highly saturated blue with a hint of violet.
The adjacent Diamonds are very bright and fiery, no naked eye visible inclusion. They range from 2.5mm to 2.7mm in diameter (estimated totalled 0.22ct). Assessed diamond clarity is SI and colour G-H.
Marked 18CT for 18ct gold and tests as such. Perfect for stacking or worn alone, ideal as an engagement ring or to commemorate a significant life event. In excellent condition, some minor chips and nibbles to the stones but only visible under magnification.
