This substantial vintage ring showcases the beauty of jewellery from the 1970s, a naturalistic design based on geometric forms and inspired by the wild natural world.
Dates back to 1972, when on the finger she measures 14.2mm at the widest point, the ring face, and tapered into a smooth and comfortable D-shaped band at the back. The stipple textured shoulders create a stark contrast with the shiny polished surface, and direct viewers attention to the centre Smokey Quartz.
The featured stone is a Smokey Quartz, it measures approx. 10.3mm by 8.3mm (estimated carat weight is 1.85 Carats). There are British hallmarks on the inner shank, marked 9, 375, London and date letter r for 1972.
She is in excellent preowned condition, some small sign of wear commensurate with age. Currently a finger size N (UK) or 6.75(US) but can be sized.
