Vintage 1970s Large Jelly Opal & Diamond 18ct Yellow Gold Halo Ring (14.74cts)

This undeniably impressive 1970s statement ring is set with a natural jelly Opal, arranged in a cluster or halo setting, mounted in elegant 18ct Yellow Gold.

To the centre is a large Opal cabochon, measures approximately 23mm x 13mm x 8mm (estimated 13.66cts). It has an attractive jelly-like appearance, with light body colour and displays good play of colour, showing strong flashings of neon green and flickers of orange, pink, lime green, blue, purple, red, and yellow, the brilliant opalescence effect can be observed from all angles!

Fully surrounded by good quality natural diamonds, each measures approximately 2.2mm in diameter, estimated total diamond carat weight is 1.08cts. The diamonds are extremely bright with amazing fire and brilliance! They are of great presence, eye clean with no naked eye visible inclusion. Assessed diamond clarity is VS to SI, and colour H-I. 

Hallmarked by London Assay Office as 18ct gold with Sponsor GDC and date letter A for 1975. Perfect as a right hand ring, she is in excellent condition, no damage to the gemstones, some minor wear commensurate with age. Comes with gift presentation packaging.
