Description
Dates back to the 1980s, this unisex gold signet ring features an oval shape natural Bloodstone tablet in secure bezel set. Bloodstone is a popular gemstone in jewellery in Victorian era, it symbolises courage and vitality.
The beautifully engraved shoulders direct viewers attention to the centre Bloodstone and lead into a plain flat band towards the back. This Bloodstone has a beautiful dark green body-colour with red patches that resemble spots of blood (hence the name Bloodstone). It measures 11.5mm by 9.3mm.
Commonly known as the “gentleman’s ring”, the signet ring is traditionally seen as a symbol of family heritage. Now, signet rings are worn by men and women who wish to exhibit style, or a sentimental connection with something or someone.
This ring’s flush design is versatile enough to blend in our everyday activities. Fully hallmarked by London Assay Office as 9ct gold, with sponsor mark SMD and date letter O for 1988.
In excellent condition, the stone is held securely, some minor wear commensurate with age.
