Vintage 1980s Royal Blue Sapphire and Diamond 18ct Yellow Gold Engagement Ring (0.55ct)

Set in precious 18CT Yellow Gold, this graceful combination of sparkle and colour is simply stunning! To the centre is a good quality natural blue Sapphire, with 3 brilliant cut natural colourless Diamonds to each side to add sparkle.

Mounted on tapered shoulders, the centre Sapphire has a strong and vivid medium blue with rich saturation. The blue is velvety and very unique, the colour shows up amazing under natural sunlight! Estimated sapphire carat weight is 0.37ct (5.1mm by 4.0mm).

The adjacent Diamonds are approximately 2.3mm to 1.6mm in diameter each, estimated total diamond weight is 0.18ct. They are of great presence, super lively and bright, they have been assessed as natural earth mined diamonds. Assessed diamond clarity is VS to SI, colour is G-H.

Hallmarked by London Assay Office as 18ct Gold and with Sponsor Mark PS and date letter N for 1987, she is perfect as an engagement ring or anniversary gift, suitable for stacking or worn alone. In excellent condition, minor wear commensurate with age including nibbles on the sapphire facets but not at all noticeable when worn.
